Meet Chef Jay
Hailing from the spice island of Grenada, Chef Jay was raised in a family who loves coming together over delicious Caribbean food. Even from a young age, Jay loved cooking with his mother, who infused generations of knowledge into his cuisine. Jay learned how to source his dishes locally as well as to how to use organic gardening for flavor and excellence. Jay’s culinary dreams have found their home in Dallas, where he leverages more than a decade of hands-on experience to craft one-of-a-kind cuisine. Thanks to the expertise of his business partner and friend, (also called Jay), he’s well on his way.
Meet Sous Chef/Operations Manager Jay
Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, the land of oil and music, Jay has always had a passion for business. When he moved to Dallas to start a business rooted in his Caribbean heritage, he met his first neighbor, Chef Jay! Since that first meeting, they’ve been friends for 12 years (and counting). Caribbia was born out of their mutual love for their culture, and Jay proudly handles the business side of the operation while providing support as sous chef. He’s thrilled to bring the taste of the Caribbean to the people of Dallas.
